Karte-Char district, Kabul.  Fat-tailed sheep.  Tails contained fat called "roghan,"used extensively
 in cooking.  Note variety of colors:  white, black, brown.  The ditch to the right of the photo was
 convenient for changing the oil in the VW I acquired for personal use while in the country.



Karakul, the soft skin of sheep.  The various colors are
natural.  Karakul was used mainly in making
 hats and coats.  Kabul store.
